About Us

          We founded Georgia Gold in order to provide others with pure, unadulterated honey and products derived from our apiary and our little suburban farm. We are a veteran-owned small business and active-duty military family. 

Our wonderful customers love our name and often ask how we came to call our honey, Georgia Gold!

         That is truly a story that means the world to us. Byron was on the crew of the USS Georgia SSGN 729 Gold Crew at the time when we became beekeepers. The first person to sample our honey, outside of just us, was my (Jo's) step-dad, Lonny. The first thing he said after he tasted our very first harvest was, "That surely is some pure Georgia Gold!" 

And so, it was in his honor, that we began calling our honey, Georgia Gold!

         We have, as 2022,  founded our company to include the plants we start from seeds and cuttings, the seeds we harvest from our herbs, as well as our soaps, salves and more. We will continue our expansions in the future to meet the needs of our customers and provide you with pure honey, soaps, salves and more!
